Screen Recorder / Privacy
Your captures
stay with you.
What Screen Recorder accesses, what it saves, and what happens when you contact support.
Local capture. Local control.
Screen Recorder does not collect app analytics or upload your screen recordings, screenshots, or captured audio. You choose what to capture and where to save it.
This policy covers the Mac app Screen Recorder, listed as Light Easy Screen Recorder on the App Store, and earlier builds named ClickFlow or Desktop Recorder.
1. Data collection
The app does not require an account, use advertising trackers, or send app telemetry. Screenshots, recordings, audio, and app preferences are processed and stored locally on your Mac.
Optional global capture shortcuts are off until you configure them. Saved key combinations remain in local preferences; the app does not record your typing or send keystrokes to a service.
2. Screen and microphone access
Screen Recorder uses macOS capture permissions to access the selected part of your screen and, when chosen, system audio. Microphone capture is optional and off by default. It uses microphone input only when you choose that recording option and macOS grants permission.
You can manage these permissions in System Settings → Privacy & Security. Capture access is used to create your local files, not to send their contents to a remote service.
3. Files and preferences on your Mac
Exported screenshots are PNG files and recordings are MP4 files. The Save dialog lets you select the destination. Completed recordings awaiting a save decision may remain in the app’s private pending storage; canceling the Save dialog does not upload them or automatically export them.
Local preferences, such as capture choices, remain on the device. You control the exported files through Finder. If you choose a cloud-synced folder, that folder’s provider may sync your saved file according to its own settings and privacy policy.
Removing the app does not automatically remove files you saved elsewhere. Delete or move those files in Finder as needed.
4. Email support and this website
Opening an email support link uses your chosen mail app. If you send a message, support receives the email address, message, and attachments you choose to provide. Correspondence is used to respond to your request; it is separate from the app’s local capture behavior.
This support website has no account system, advertising trackers, analytics scripts, or support form. Its pages do not upload app files. Hosting providers may process technical request information, such as an IP address, to deliver and protect the website.
Contact iamandymeza@icloud.com with privacy questions or a request about support correspondence.
5. Changes to this policy
This page will be updated if the app’s data practices change. The date above identifies the current version.
